Cosmic Raven (Glow-in-the-Dark)

ABOUT

The "Cosmic Raven" is an entirely hand-sculpted, one-of-a-kind statement necklace created by artist Melinda Puhó. Crafted without the use of molds, this original artwork embodies the ancient legends of the raven, regarded as a keeper of cosmic knowledge and a messenger between worlds.

Holding the crescent Moon within his beak, he becomes the guardian of her soft, feminine glow, where the masculine and the feminine become expressions of the same mystery.

Rainbow moonstones adorn the composition with their iridescent gleam, while hidden details awaken after darkness falls, revealing a constellation of aqua and green light.

For this piece, I created my own handmade glow-in-the-dark polymer clay using non-toxic, eco-friendly phosphorescent powders. Charged by a direct source of light (sunlight works best), they continue to glow for hours, revealing another side of the artwork after sunset.

Some paths are illuminated by the Sun, while others reveal themselves beneath the Moon and the Stars.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

The polymer clay used is very strong, durable, and exceptionally lightweight. It is not fragile like regular clay, but please avoid bending the piece forcefully.

Use a soft, damp cloth or a soft-bristled toothbrush to clean the textured surfaces. Polymer clay is waterproof, and the protective sealant is water-resistant.

Keep it away from very high heat, as polymer clay may burn at temperatures above 350°F (176°C). Please note that polymer clay has a natural flexibility, which may become more noticeable in hot weather. This is completely normal and does not affect the durability of the piece.

Keep it away from perfumes, body lotions, and harsh aerosols to prevent the protective varnish from degrading over time.
